Vocational Services

Supported Employment: Services provide independent, competitive employment for individuals who may need assistance in acquiring competitive employment in the community. A Goodwill employment consultant will work with the individual at the job site to act as an intermediary between the employer and the individual once hired to ensure a successful placement. As the individual becomes proficient in their new job, the employment consultant will do periodic check-ins to ensure that everything is running smoothly.

Employment and Retention: Prepares an individual for employment with development of job search skills, job development, short term support if needed, and work adjustment counseling once employed.

Group Worksites Enclaves: Employment opportunities for those with significant disabilities, who need continuous job coach supervision. Worksites are located in two local hospitals and five donation centers, employing 15 job coaches and 75 supported workers. Individuals interested in working in a small group must have a case manager through Developmental Disabilities Services and be authorized for Waiver Services.

Goodwill Contract Services: Fulfills the mission of Goodwill in a profound way by employing individuals with severe disabilities to work on subcontract jobs for civic-minded local companies. Rather than taking a back seat to life, these proud individuals are making substantial contributions to the community...and so are the companies they do work for. Contract Services employees gain dignity, worth and self-respect through the power of work — not to mention a paycheck.
