TulsaWORKS - Career Preparation and Employment Linked with Family Support Assistance

TulsaWORKS is designed to assess the participant's needs and the family's issues, to devise a plan based upon those needs, and then to provide the services necessary to train, place, and provide post-placement activities to improve job retention.

TulsaWORKS promotes self-sufficiency among individuals and families that are living in poverty, through collaborations with area businesses, volunteer mentors and other community partners.

TulsaWORKS uses a collaborative model to connect participants to essential community resources through the use of Case Management. Services offered through these sources include:   Life Skills Class, GED or Other Education, Assessments, Job Training, Job Search and Support Services and E-Mentoring.

TulsaWORKS is a 2004 Family Counts: Family Strengthening Award winner, funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. This award recognizes exemplary programs that connect families to the resources, services and support they need to succeed under disadvantaging conditions.
